Authorization to Impound FAQ
What Happens Next?
We will receive your form and one of a few different things will happen.
- If there are no errors in the form, a driver will be sent out to pick up the vehicle. The driver may call you if they have questions related to the vehicle or its condition or if they are having trouble locating the vehicle on your property.
- If your form has incomplete or unclear information, our office staff will reach out to you to clarify the details.
When will someone be here to pick this vehicle up?
We aim to respond to every impound request within 30 minutes of receiving the Authorization to Impound. However, our current operations or workload may occasionally delay this response time. Rest assured, we have received your submission and will arrive as quickly as possible to remove the vehicle. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
The vehicle left, what do I do now?
If the vehicle leaves the property or is moved to a suitable location, please contact our office at (360) 297-8600 to cancel the impound request. Once you notify us, your impound request will be canceled promptly. There's nothing further you need to do. Should you require assistance in the future, don't hesitate to reach out to us again.
Will I be charged for this?
Generally, no. The registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for covering the cost of the impound.
However, there is an exception for recreational vehicles such as motorhomes and travel trailers. In these cases, a fee may be applied for their removal from your property. For specific details or clarification regarding charges for recreational vehicles, please contact our office directly at (360) 297-8600.
